What activities, clubs and organizations would you recommend to newcomers to help them meet others?

There is an International Women's Group. Most of the women live in Herzogenaurach or Erlangen. There is an International School with grades K-6th called the Franconian International School (FIS) in Herzogenaurach.

In terms of religious, racial, economic and cultural diversity, are the people of this city or town diverse? Are they accepting of differences? Describe.

Yes, very diverse and accepting to the international delegates. Main religions of the region are Catholic and Protestants.

What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?

There are several Siemens divisions located in the area. Also world headquarters of Puma and Adidas are located in Herzogenaurach. It is very difficult to obtain a wrok permit in Germany in you are not a member of the EU. Unemployment is very high here.

If a friend of yours was thinking of moving to this city or town from far away, what other advice would you give them.

It is a nice town and a beautiful region of Germany. In Nuernberg it is difficult to get by with just English skills. So study up on your German or take classes here.
