Deutsch-Amerikanische Gesellschaft, Volkshochschule (Adult Education classes), Univ of Erfurt (can also sign up as an auditor).

In terms of religious, racial, economic and cultural diversity, are the people of this city or town diverse? Are they accepting of differences? Describe.

Less than 2% of population are foreigners here as in most cities in East Germany. Less than 20% belong to any religious grp, since most were atheists before anyway. However, the city has a cathedral and over 20 churches with a rich history dating over 1250 yrs, incl Martin Luther, Goethe and Bach.

What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?

Do not expect too much friendship from the natives.. they are rather not so warmhearted and not so friendly.
