Its a very diverse culture. people are tolerant with cultural issues and do recognise the differences.

What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?

Mining is the main. Industrials and IT are catching up.

If a friend of yours was thinking of moving to this city or town from far away, what other advice would you give them.

The biggest concern for this country is crime. You have to be careful and have to sacrifice a bit of freedom in terms of moving out.

I am an ex South African and I would advise anyone wanting to live in SA to definately stay away from Johannesburg and to think twice about moving to SA before doing extensive investigation.
