In terms of religious, racial, economic and cultural diversity, are the people of this city or town diverse? Are they accepting of differences? Describe.

In the 6 years we were there, the population definitely became more diverse. More Italians, Russians, "East" Germans and Americans. These groups were not invited into the social circle of the Germans but socialized amongst themselves. More Indians, Turkish and ex-Yogoslavian were considered loathesome and unfit to talk to.

What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?

Jobs are hard to come by in Germany without first attaining a work permit which is very difficult to get. Boblingen is near Stuttgart so there are plenty of jobs. HP has offices there but Americans usually get jobs before they get to Germany

In general, what are peoples' priorities in this city? For example, do lives revolve around work, family, socializing, sports, etc.?

Family, sports and church

If a friend of yours was thinking of moving to this city or town from far away, what other advice would you give them.

Don't plan on being welcomed. And if you are be wary...landlords enjoy Americans/foreigners because they pay top dollar for rent.
