What activities, clubs and organizations would you recommend to newcomers to help them meet others?

Newcomers Club of Greenville International Women's Club religious/church/temple/synagogue,etc.

In terms of religious, racial, economic and cultural diversity, are the people of this city or town diverse? Are they accepting of differences? Describe.

Fairly large international population and fast growing population in general makes for an accepting community. Most people are Southern Babtist (protestant/Christian denomination). This makes for a conservative political climate. However, people are very friendly and welcoming.

What are the main industries in this city? What types of career opportunities commonly exist? How do most people find new jobs?

Engineering. Most people relocate here with their current employers or find jobs through placement firms.

If a friend of yours was thinking of moving to this city or town from far away, what other advice would you give them.

Having moved frequently, I can say Greenville is a pleasant place to live with much to offer in recreation. Mountains are nearby, ocean just a few hours away. Location on the interstate makes major cities easily accessible. Climate is fabulous! Cost of living is moderate on an American scale.
