How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
Issc has a "Chinese" school bus (for a hefty fee). NOT a nice ride.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Facilities are very Chinese..squat toilets in the restrooms..plugged up. Very noisy cement rooms. No extra-curricular activities.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Curriculum is in English.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a PTA
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
If from US, advise AGAINST, as there is anti-American sentiment amongst staff. The school is NOT really like other International Schools, except for the price. A joint-venture between China and Cananda...very communist.
