What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

Seoul Foreign School

In what town or city is this school located?

Seoul

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

American

What grade levels are represented at this school?

K-12

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

The schools bus system is very good.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilities are great! My kids love the pool and turfed soccer field. Elementary kids have Saturday sports, soccer, basketball, and baseball. The upper grades have lots the after school teams.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The teachers and administration of Seoul Foreign School were very helpful with lots of opportunities for interaction and involvement. Those who look to be helpful to others and try to be useful seem to transition here better. Seoul can be a tough place for some folks to transition to. It ends up being how you make it - good or bad.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The Seoul Foreign School PTA is as active as the parents want it to be who are involved each year. There are lots of parents who really care about their kids, thier education, and social growth.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Seoul Foreign School has given my kids an excellent education, with higher expectations than what they'd have gotten in other schools. It's not perfect, but it's only as perfect as the people who go there and work there. It's been a very positive and challenging environment for our whole family. I highly recommend it!
