American Curriculum but International flavour

K-12 With Pre K introduced 2002/3
How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
The school is situated in Maadi, and most of the Ex pat community lives within walking distance from the school. The school does provide a bus service as well.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Fabulous facilities. All grade levels are on one campus and plenty of extra-curricular activities to do. Swim team, JV sports, Cultural (choir, band, debate team). Also an after school activities program offered for Elementary students. Elementary, Middle & High school occupies different areas on campus.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
They do offer "English Second Language" additional classes for children who's English skills are basic. There is no programs for children regarding repatriation.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
Parent Teacher Orginization, Welcoming coffee's, Multicultural committee.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
This is a great school. The teachers are very well selected. But please get involved as a parent in the school.
