How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The class sizes are 15 student max. The teachers are mostly from the US. The educational level of learning is tremdious. Spanish is taught from PreK on. Math is a stron subject and most children are a year ahead in Math.

We have a girls soccer team, AWANA, and ICY.

The juniors and seniors have a retreat at the beggining of the year to set goals and focus on the future.

We have International week and ll grades participate. The week ends with a program where parents are invited to attend and international foods are shared.

We have a missions month that focuses on the importants of mission work. We choose a mission project and end the month with a Fair to raise money for that project. Each grad has a booth the make money. It is a time when teachers, parents and students work together.

We have an annnual book fair, a school play and art exhibits.

BAICA has something for everyone.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

Being a small school, my child was not overwhelmed with a new language and culture in a large school. Most of the teachers attend our church and this made the transition easier because he knew faces of the adults and students prior to the first day. The staff is kind and loving. They are a aware of students that need extra care in the transition.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

We have a very active PTF. I am the president and we make every effort to involve the parents in all aspects of the BAICA learning expereince. We also have social events for the parents as well.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Look at our website www.baica.com, visit and ask questions. We are small and close knit.
