KPA (Age 4) all the way to 12th Grade
How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)
Most seem to ride the school bus, but many drop off their own children.
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT !!!!! The teachers and administration staff are world class. There are many afterschool activities, ranging from Karate to arts&crafts. The Little League is very popular, both soccer and baseball. The Parents Association is very active in planning all types of extras like the Halloween Carnival or Family Fun Day.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Because of the strong American curriculum I feel that my daughter will have little or no problems going back into school when we return to the United States. This is a small school and a very close knit community from all over the world. We have truly enjoyed our time here at MKIS !!!
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
The Parents Association is very active. There are plenty of activities to plan and help coordinate. There is a strong sense of cooperation between the teachers and the parents.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Please come and see the school during school hours to truly appreciate how wonderful MKIS is. You will see a great group of teachers who are always there if you need to discuss anything. The Administration is very willing to work with you at anytime. And the students are simply a great bunch from all over the world!!!!
