The British International School in Vietnam has 3 campuses. A Primary campus in the city center and a Primary and Secondary Campus in District 2, where most expat families live. The 2 campuses in D2 each have a playing field, swimming pool, ICT suites. They share a full size playing field and a baskettball court. After school clubs are of great variety and are on offer throughout the year.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

School tries to link new children up with other children with their nationality. There's a great website a good parent's handbook. Twice a year (in August and January) a newcomer's coffee morning is organized by school in cooperation with the PTG.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There's a very active PTG. They organize many fun activities throughout the year, eg movienights, a yearly Fun Fair, Christmas Caroling, Sundaymorning picnics. The PTG has officers coordinating Nationality representatives (an answer to all your questions for parents planning to move to HCMC) and class parents.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Check out the website (www.bisvietnam.com) and get in touch with the admissions staff.
