International, Waldorf

What grade levels are represented at this school?

kindergarten, age 3 - 6

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Walk or bike

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Parents built the kindergarten themselves and are currently working on the garden area, so are rightly proud of the place - everyone who sees it loves it!

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The Waldorf curriculum is internationally shared, so transition is easy. The kindergarten was set up by a very international group of parents and currently has a number of bilingual children, with a Dutch teacher.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

The school is a parent-led start-up with a board of parents. There are frequent meetings and increasingly events of various kinds (festivals, working weekends, etc.)

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
