How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Three story building, air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter. Sports fields - basketball and soccer, play structures, community open air pool use in summer. Extensive after school and summer programs, close tie to Chengdu Youth Soccer League

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

Individual attention with low student to teacher ratios. For students with ESL requirements, special ESL class.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Low-key PTO organization and several after-hours events or get-togethers.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Pro - small school with tight-knit groups. If you're looking for almost-private tuition with many AP offerings, this is the place.

Con - children do get singled out. Despite QSI guidelines teachers not taking active roles in correcting bullying. Contrary to school policies, not all teachers certified; principal's own husband and daughter teaching.

With sadness I report that this school has reached bottom. If you're a student who has a parent teaching at the school then you will all of the attention you could ever want - but that attention is at the cost of tuition paying parents and their children. Non certified teachers are abundant and nepotism out of control. Would suggest you seriously look at other schools in Chengdu like CDIS.
