Many children ride the bus, many children walk
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
The facilities are very new, including a brand new high school building. There is a nice cafeteria, 3 full size gymnasiums, 2 tennis courts, excellent science classrooms, a performing arts building with theater. there are many sports for the kids at ages from grade 5 including volleyball, basketball, touch rugby, and soccer. There are many other after school activities for the younger kids.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a very active pso organization and many opportunities for parents to get involved through classroom help, chaperones, etc. There is a wonderful Christmas bazaar every year and a fabulous auction for parents in the spring.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
This is not a good school for a child who struggles with english. It is a high achieving environment without esl facilities.
