What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

Bunat Al Ghad Academy

In what town or city is this school located?

Amman

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

International

What grade levels are represented at this school?

KG - 9th

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Bus, some parents drop their kids off. Since it's located at the outskirts of the city, I recommend the bud.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Brand new buildings, furniture and equipment. The schools is 2 years old.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

English curriculum comes from the US. They try to have 50% Arabic curriculum and %0% English.

They have a good Arabic as a second language program and they work close with students that are having hard time learning.

My children were having hard time with Arabic and they hated learning it in other schools. Now, they love BAA and they love learning.

They also work close with those students who have hard time learning English and they try to bring them up to the level of other English-speaking students.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Many of the students came from the US and Europe. There is a PTA and there is an Active Parents Committee. Parents understand the goals and vision of the school and they all work hard to achieve them.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

BAA is a new school, so they are open to new ideas. They also do have problems like any other school in Jordan. The good thing about this one is that they try to become the best at what they do.

I suggest that you become active with the school and don't hesitate to tell them what you think.

I disagree with the school being open to new ideas because its been open for 3 years now and doesn't have a proper outdoor basketball although many parents have asked them to build one.

I have two kids in the school, I believe its the best school within Amman north area. Copares to American schools fees, BAA is an excellent choice.
