Facilities adequate but nothing special. Has basic science and computer labs, running track and basketball courts, music/drama room, small library
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There's a parent support group which meets with the school management once a month to discuss school-related issues and occasionally collaborates with the school on events. There's also a once a month coffee morning for parents.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
The middle school was founded in 2007 and still finding its feet. Admin still a little shaky. A lot of good teachers left, but new management and lots of new teachers coming in Sept 2010, so improvements expected. The school's unique selling point is its attempt to bridge the gap between Western and Eastern education and combine the strengths of both, and support both languages at native level, which sets it apart from other international schools. Fees are about half of those at other international schools in Shanghai.
