How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Very basic - some equipment in ICT is OK, but on the whole not strong. Poorly equipped classrooms, cramped, dark and not well looked after. Very cramped and reminds one of a prison. The only equipment that seems good is the administrative systems which are not used by the children - but it is felt that these "systems" are just for show, and not really used properly.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Nothing - just have to get on with it. Some form teachers ok, but on the whole they haven't a clue about pastoral care, and for most, English is not their first language, so literacy is poor generally.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
Nothing much that parents get involved in. Are kept at arms length and invited to some events to be glorified observers really, and so the school owners can "show" how generous they are when in fact they are using the parents money!
No proper PTA - just encouraged "to speak directly" to the Principal who has no power at all.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
If really struggling for money, then perhaps risk it. Sri garden nearby is better and it is much cheaper. If you can, though, send them to a proper INTERNATIONAL school, and not one that puts the word in the title, but actually doesn't practise what it preaches. Most of the other comments in this forum are spot on.
