What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

Yanbu International School

In what town or city is this school located?

Yanbu

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

American - although many staff seem to be of eastern / ME origin

What grade levels are represented at this school?

K1 - 12

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

School Bus

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Okay, but in need of upgrade - ie looking quite tired. Although the computing facilities do look quite good.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

I'll update this post after my child has had some time at the school. He has just started in Yanbu having completed yr 1 in the British stream. I am not aware of any repatriation programs.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

Not sure. Will update this post as info comes to hand

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Again, I'll share my perspectives later. Since there are only a few western families in Yanbu, the teacher student ratio looks favourable - for my son's grade level anyway.

I'd have to suggest this 'review' was a little premature given the length of time your child has been at the school, neither he nor you have developed any opinion of it whatsoever, so it's hardly worthwhile reading for anyone looking to relocate.
