The school is impressive from outside. Its landscape and soccer field are very nice. Once inside, you find yourself faced with many questions such as: why isn't the cafeteria inside the building and students have to walk outside in the hot weather to reach it?, How come there is no auditorium for assemblies and school performances?
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
Nothing. The teacher keep saying that this the way they do it in UAS!
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is a parent-teacher organizations. Its role revolves strictly around organizing social events. Sadly, the organization does not play any role in conveying parents concerns and suggesting ameliorations of any kind.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Be aware that the quality of teaching depends solely on the teacher and the group of students present in a certain level. Some teachers are very professional and caring. Others seem to be always stunned by the students inadequate skills! However, there is no action plan to find out the reasons behind this mediocrity and what to do to help students perform better. Teachers do not attribute a great importance to parents concerns since the administration supports the teachers 99% of the time.
