How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

There are three campuses which are houses that have been converted to school rooms which is common. Campus 1 has a large play area and an above ground pool. There is an after school program with many choices two days a week. Campus 2 and 3 have swimming off campus. Two days a week PE classes are offered. International schools compete with each other in sports.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The students adapt to the National Australian Curriculum as it meets the international school standards. Classes are taught in English with Bangla offered as a foreign language. Students who graduate from this school have a WACE certified diploma which is recognized throughout the world just like an Australian high school diploma which was not completed abroad. Class size is very low for HS. Primary and elementary classes are below 20 per class.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

PTO was established last year. Parents socialize in expat clubs and informally.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Visit the school and get a tour. Check the website and find out about the low tuition fees.

Teachers are not qualified to teach the curriculum offered, the vast majority are Bangladeshi without teaching qualifications. International school in name only fees are third highest in Dhaka and facilities very poor.
