What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

King Richard III College Mallorca

In what town or city is this school located?

Portals Nous

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

British

What grade levels are represented at this school?

3-18 years

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

bus, walk

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Very basic, lacking in up-to-date facilities, owners very reluctant to spend any money. Many after clubs available- IT, guitar, business, sports.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

NONE

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There is NO PTA as the owners do not like to hear parents views, they seem to have the same tactic with the teachers. There are a couple of clubs for parents after school, but again, it's their way or no way.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

The teachers of this school work extremely hard and will try to support your child as much as possible. However, any efforts are obstructed by the management of the school. The directors are unapproachable, rude and do not care about the welfare of your child or their education, to them, the school is a business and that's it. The fees are ridiculous and not worth the money. I have seen numerous teachers come and go from the school, some of them out of choice, some forced out- even the good ones. The headmistress offers little support to staff and students and I heard from another parent that she sometimes recruits unqualified teachers to fill vacancies. Don't be fooled by first impressions or her image, she's as fake as they come. My children no longer go to the school, and even if they reduced the fees, I wouldn't send my children there if it were my only choice on earth.

My children started this year in the school and we have already suffered "the wrath" of the deputy head, Mrs. Alcover. We beg you to get in touch with to assess the reality of the school. Many thanks, unhappyparents
