What is the name of your child's school? (Please report on one school per survey.)

The Children's House

In what town or city is this school located?

Sola

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

British

What grade levels are represented at this school?

up to age 6

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

Driven by parents

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Almost none.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

No.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

No social activities. No parent organisation.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

We had looked forward to our child starting at the school, but frankly we have been disappointed. The children are shipped around different classrooms and have lots of different teachers. The building is shabby and the place feels like our child is a number. We are looking around for other places and are checking into the local kindergartens. There is no community feeling in the school.
