How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Facilities are very good on the whole but the canteen could be a lot better.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
If the teacher is good it is fine but that is not always the case. A lot of turnover of staff - only western staff get the push though. Arab staff are over-protected probably because they are local staff and they have a network of supporters, some could even be on the Board.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
yes there is a group that organises get togethers
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
In Jeddah there is very little choice if you want a western curriculum with a European slant. This school says it is the best in Jeddah (plenty of modesty there) but if there was more competition from decent schools offering A levels and IB, without resorting to unqualified local staff, it would be a different ball game.
