In what town or city is this school located?

How would you describe this school? (i.e. American, British, International, Local, etc.)

International

What grade levels are represented at this school?

pre-kindergarten to Grade 12

How do most children get to school everyday? (bus, train, walk, etc.)

bus, bike, walk

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

The facilities are great: large classrooms with lots of light, cafeteria, music rooms, big gym, large playground, etc. The school offers many extra-curricular activities (sports, programming, etc) and hosts teachers for private lessons for ballet, musical instruments, languages, etc.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

My child was already attending an International school before moving to the Netherlands. In any case the school has a program to help students who are not fluent in English. Students come from every part of the World and the school offer the possibility to study a second language (one period every day).

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

There is an active PTA who organizes events for the school and the parents.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

My son has had a very good experience during the last three years spent in this school, He has really enjoyed going to school every day and is much more self-confident compared to when we arrived. Teachers and professionals working here really take care of the students and help them to maximize their potential. Students are required to work in class (individually or in small groups) and have weekly homework on a regular basis. Each student of MS and HS has a laptop to be used for assignments. Classes are quite small and the atmosphere is friendly. The learning support department provides for precious specific assistance if needed.
