This is an excellent full-day, year-round or part-time preschool for expats who are relocating to Atlanta from abroad as well as American parents who wish to give their children exposure to different cultures. Various extra-curricular programs (piano, sports, art, gymnastics) are offered and available.
What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?
The curriculum is Constructivist-based, so it is driven by children's interest and ability; the teacher acts as a facilitator and guide. Many of the teachers have international experience or are expats themselves, and extra assistance with English language acquisition is provided for students with limited English.
How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?
There is an active parent organization as well as various social activities and classroom opportunities for socializing.
What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?
Definitely schedule a tour and observe a classroom during your visit.
