What advice would you give someone preparing to move to your area about the actual move, choosing a neighborhood and finding a home?
Be brave. Get out there and see what's available in your neighborhood. Ask co-workers for help and advice. Oh, and pack light. There is almost nothing that you can't get here or have shipped here.
What type of housing do you live in? Is this typical for most expats in your area?
In apartment housing. Most of us live in high rise apts that have some amenities. Some have fitness rooms, some have pools. Few have both.
How did you choose your neighborhood and find your home or apartment?
My company houses its employees.
Are your housing costs higher or lower than they were in your home country? What is the average cost of housing there?
I do not know what the housing costs here. I DO know that the apartment I stay in would run about $1500 a month where I am from.
