Find a good relocation company and make sure that they show you everything on the market not only the houses they get commission from, or you will end up seeing houses without kitchen.

What type of housing do you live in? Is this typical for most expats in your area?

Typical for expats.. It is a villa in a compound. Most of the people around this area are expats.

How did you choose your neighborhood and find your home or apartment?

Close to the kid's school and not to far from the office.

Are your housing costs higher or lower than they were in your home country? What is the average cost of housing there?

Much higher. Turkey is very expensive. Don't find a house for less that $5000 a month.
