I wish I had brought mementos, food recipes and books. I don't regret anything I brought with me.

What advice would you give someone preparing to move to your area about the actual move, choosing a neighborhood and finding a home?
Secure a job with health care benefits first and get relocation assistance. For retirees, move/stay in Europe due to health care costs. I do not plan to stay in the US when I retire.

I live in a home surrounded with a large yard. I don't know any expats, nor where they live.
How did you choose your neighborhood and find your home or apartment?
I chose Perrysburg based on the proximity to work and shopping.

Housing prices depend on neighborhoods, size and condition of home, proximity to doctors, shopping and entertainment. Healthcare in the US is very expensive. Spain was cheaper to live in. US: higher wages, higher costs. Average home price for 2 people in a good neighborhood near Perrysburg, Ohio: $100,000 to $175,000.
