Great ...yes ... lots of expats here. Cultural ... mostly music shows ... recreation, the beaches, parties, clubs ... night life, same

Permanent visa ... bit complicated unless you are married and have a Brazilian child

Not here if you take care ... rural. Only in the big cities
Describe available transportation where you live. Do you need a car? Is there access to safe public transportation?
Old folks ... seniors ride the buses for free ... fairly decent system. I do have a car but ride the bus mostly.

guestCultural Attractions? Recreation? Nightlife? - There are no 'CLUBS' in Conde. MUSIC SHOWS? Well, yes, when your interest is limited to loud music EVERYWHERE. Be prepared to wake up at 5am by some lunatic with the specially made music boxes in his car on full blast. A pathetic macho thing. Admittedly, it is not very different from the Latin countries in Europe 40 years ago, but where this kind of air Pollution has been finally curtailed. ----- Access to Government health plan? Sure, when you're willing to wait for days to see a specialist, along with hundreds and hundreds of others. Google for info - you'll find plenty of info on this subject. ----- Financial consideration? USD 800-1100 might work when you already have a car, computer, TV and all other domestic appliances, as these tend to be 100-150% more expensive than in your home country. ----- CRIME only in the big cities? Do I hear denial? Conde is one of the most dangerous areas to live, with very little police available. Google for MURDER and CONDE or PARAIBA.
