Walking distance to supermarket. No night life for me.

guestI always thought the term "abroad" meant overseas -- as in, across the ocean from one's point of departure. If that's true, then to say that from the US, moving to Brazil is moving "abroad" is ridiculous since it is on the same land mass as the US and no ocean is crossed to get there.
