Finland Jobs
Summary: How do you find Finnish jobs? International relocation expert, Marja Saviaro, offers a great list of resources for expats seeking jobs in Finland.
Some spouses are willing to work after their arrival in Finland, especially if there are no children in the family. You can start looking for possibilities before your arrival in Finland, for example by checking out the basic information available on the Internet. If you are lucky, you can make an appointment for an interview during your pre-visit.
The employment office has access to the largest job register in Finland. You will find the latest information about job vacancies and employers' requirements. Registration as a job applicant takes place personally at the employment office.
You will find up-to-date information about all jobs using the website www.mol.fi or the self-service computer terminals in the employment offices. You can search for vacancies according to kind of work, region, city, duration of the vacancy, or search only for the latest vacancies. You can also use the word search. When you use the “job flagging” option, you will receive information about suitable vacancies directly by e-mail.
EURES - the European job mobility portal maintained by the European Commission - offers compiled information on job vacancies, living and working conditions and the regional labour markets in Finland and the other EU/EEA countries. The portal provides access to CV-Search, a forum providing jobseekers with the option of posting their CV on the site to advertize themselves to employers. There are also Finnish employers registered.
