guestHi Camden, I'm already working in China, but got the job through connections. It pays pretty well, but my wife is insisting we move to Shanghai. I'm currently looking for a job, and it feels like I'm looking for a job in the U.S. where I don't qualify for anything. Just wanted to let you know your blog was helpful and has given me some hope. Thank you and kudos on your blog. Best regards, Kenneth
guestHi Kenneth, Thank you for the kind words! I hope the information helps, and good luck with your job hunt! -Camden
guestHow do you report hiring scams? About 20 teachers this year and about the same last year have been involved with Shanghai Livingston American School illegally hiring teachers and even placing uncertified teachers in the classroom with no experience nor education. This illegal hiring and not obtaining work visas for their employees is practiced without a flick of mercy from the employers. The employees end up with lost pay, no housing, no insurance, no voice, no legal rights and no job. Isn't this considered modern day human slavery? It exists right under our noses. Please be aware of hiring scams. Especially schools like Shanghai LIVINGSTON american School.
