How does one find an appartment in Guangzhou..I have previously lived in hotels ...
If in fact I wanted to furnish it to my own liking, how do I find or purchase furnature here..??

Describe your experience giving birth there. What type of facility did you go to? What (if any) type of pain management did you use? How long did you stay in the hospital? Was it a positive experience? Etc...
I gave birth via c-section at VIP Birthing Center in Guangzhou. I stayed in hospital for 5 days and was given IV pain relief. It was a wonderful experience, the staff spoke some English and my husband was able to stay the entire week in our private room. (Continue)

it's ridiculous to be 'convinced' to have major surgery,
how could anyone reccomend that when as with any surgery there is always a risk? 6 out of 7 women do not need c-sections. it just means more money for the doctors.

Run down
Falling down- constant patchup job. The gym is finally 'being built' but after many years of hearing about it. If it takes as long as the library my children will have gone (and all the fees we've paid that were ostensibly to support building). (Continue)
Expat Report Review of Utahloy International School Zengcheng in Guangzhou, China was published
How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?
Utahloy International School is an IB World School and that's the major reason why I choose this school for my children. In UIS Zengcheng campus, they have a standard size outdoor swimming pool, absolutely huge gardens and lake, a huge high class facility boarding house, I.T. facilities, 5 covered basketball courts, two large libraries, science laboratories etc. Same with the UIS Guangzhou campus except they don't have the swimming pool in there. The school is member of the ACAMIS and MUN. It offers extra-curricular activities like soccer, tennie, table-tennis, drama, choir, basketball, mini-gym, skipping, art. They also offer 8 mother tongue languages like chinese, korean, japanese, french, german, spanish and hindi. (Continue)

Make friends through the people your wife is
associated with. Go to dances, go bowling
and eat in some American Restaurants to meet

"That's PRD" magazine has a quality list of organizations and community events for each month and is well worth getting. Community events with the American Chamber of Commerce as well as Summer camp for the kids at the Utahloy International Summer Camp in Zeng Cheng (www.utahloy.com) helped our family meet many other expat families in the area!
