Buying a Car in Mexico

The first time I lived, as an adult, overseas I shipped an auto. It arrived 8 weeks after I did and I had already bought a used car by then. So, the car I shipped was superfluous. When I retired, I brought my pick-up truck to Mexico, but disposed of it after six months. It was too big to maneuver through the streets and too difficult to get parked. I bought a local car and have never regretted it. (Note: this tip was submitted to Expat Exchange in an anonymous survey)
