Banks in Spain
View/Add Comments (0 Comments) |
As much as you may despise the very thought of having to pay someone to keep your money for you, banks are an integral part of our lives and without them it is very hard to exist as a legal entity. Recent financial turmoil has forced bank to re-evaluate the way they charge their customers for any little thing, and Spanish banks are no exception. If you are someone who doesn´t like change, you will be glad to hear that many of the larger banks such as Bank of America, Citibank, ING Direct, Barclays, Lloyds, Deutsche Bank etc are all present in Spain and compete very well with other local Spanish banks. If you are moving to Spain, it might be better for you to check with your existing bank whether they have a branch near your new address, and what the implications are of transferring your funds to Spain. However if your bank does not exist in Spain, there are banks such as Sabadell Atlantico that transfer British Pounds to Euros at no charge, within 3 days. There are of course many other similar offers from other banks, its just a matter of finding the one you feel comfortable with!
