Getting your Prescription Meds

In many EU countries, and certainly in my new home country, Portugal, it is easy to get my prescribed medications from a local pharmacy. I brought a document from my US physician that includes my full name, date of birth and the name of my physician, his signature and his office address; then it lists each prescribed medicine in Latin and generic terms with the dosage and the reason for using it. I show this to the pharmacist who fills it readily, even the meds that are restricted use. The medications are of the highest international standards and packaged by the regulated pharmaceutical manufacturers. I've done this for 3 years using the same document. Best of all, the costs are less than 1/3 that of the USA!
