In countries such as Thailand that prohibit foreigners from purchasing property, abide by the spirit of the law and don't. There are many ways around these laws, but do yourself a favor and don't. A Thai national with any power at all can take your land if they want to because as a foreigner you are very much nothing. I hope this helps.
