Protect yourself in Thailand

Just like any other major tourist country, there are many things to look out for in Thailand. One of the major ones, besides pickpockets, are the Tuk Drivers. They will offer to take you anywhere or even give you a tour for an absurdly low 30 THB and proceed to take you to various gem stores where he collects commission. Also, when visiting a major attraction, when someone approaches you and says that "this attraction is closed today," for some fake reason, check if it is actually closed, otherwise he will offer you something else, and he'll be happy to take you there.
