Hotel Rooms & Open Vs Closed Door

If you are a single woman Expat in Egypt and if you are in a hotel room, flat or any dwelling where a workman or service person (male) might have to come - leave the door OPEN when he comes in. Closing the door like we do at home is a signal to the Egyptian workman that you might be OK-ing he make inappropriate sexual advances towards you. Our rules of male/female conduct are quite different. Leave the door OPEN if a workman/delivery man comes to fix something or deliver something.
