Preparing Your Spouse Visa to UK - Part 3

When compiling everything you have for the UK Spouse Visa, you will find yourself searching the Internet on how they want it to be bound and submitted. This part is not clear on the UKBA website. They tell you everything they require but not how they want it submitted! Thankfully, I posted a question in this forum (which I HIGHLY recommend if you come across something you aren't sure of - post the question on expatexchange.com for people to respond to it) and received excellent advice from one user. The UKBA wants visa applications in sections beginning with a table of contents and separated between sections. You can section it off by financial information, relationship information, etc. You do not need to hole punch or professionally bind the application, simply put a big paper clamp on the top of bind it with a rubber band. Make a copy of the entire packet and clamp it the same way. Do not punch holes because some documents are originals and can't be replaced. They will gather what they need from this package and send back what they don't need along with your original documents including passport (hopefully with a visa inside!). I also suggest scanning the whole package in and saving it to a memory drive or on your computer.
