Ecuador may be small, but it is a true world power in terms of birds in its territory. Of the 9,702 bird species reported in the world, 1,640 are in Ecuador. The country has everything needed for birdwatching: good infrastructure, a variety of locations, a diversity of ecosystems and of course hundreds of birds. Many Birding Tours and Bird Photography Tours can be found on the internet that will take interested birders through Mindo and the cloud forest, to the Galapagos and through the Coastal plains and beaches to capture photos and memories that are once in a lifetime experiences to be found no where else on the planet.
