I know this sounds silly and obvious but rest assured a lot of people I meet who have moved to the Costa del Sol have not done any research on the area they want to move to, the paperwork, living costs what you are entitled to and what you aren't eg. (healthcare, unemployment benefit, schools). Have a plan and stick to it. Read up about your area by visiting expat blogs that will help you get to know your area and befriend the owners for extra help and guidance.
