Tipping in the UK

This was one of the most difficult things for me to get used to as an American - tipping in the UK. Restaurants and pubs are run differently in the UK than in the US. They pay their staff higher wages and also do not always have a dedicated server to your table. In pubs, you will go to the bar to order both drinks and food. Everybody thinks to move to London but where I live is a county named North Somerset.
