I know this sounds silly and obvious but rest assured a lot of people I meet who have moved to the Costa del Sol have not done any research on the area they want to move to, the paperwork, living costs what you are entitled to and what you aren't eg. Difference between Catalunya and Spain

The first time I came to Spain was when I planned a trip to Barcelona. I am not proud to admit that my general knowledge about the geography of Spain was very low, but I was very surprised to learn that Barcelona is the capital city of Catalunya - where people speak Catalan, a completely different language from Spanish! Along with that, goes an entirely different culture and heritage of which the Catalan people are extremely proud of and are strongly fighting to preserve. (Continue Reading)
