If you get seriously ill in Lithuania, please consider going back to your home country if possible - Serious healthcare problems can be very, very risky in Lithuania. If you live in Vilnius or Kaunas, it may not be as bad, but please know that bribes and "gifts" go a long ways in this country - whether to doctors or nurses. They will not ask you outright for these "gifts", but believe me, I have never seen a doctor or nurse turn one down. (Continue Reading)
