I am constantly amazed at the number of expats who have lived in Argentina for years and do not either read the local or national news or watch it on TV. Those who do not make this effort can miss out on everything from local cultural events to mass demonstrations that tie up traffic, to major changes --such as volatility in the multiple exchange rates--that affect their pocketbook.
