Finding your way out of Guayaquil from the airport is probably the hardest part of driving your rental car out to the coast. The city can be rather daunting and there are few signs.

If you find yourself turned around, pay a yellow cab driver $5 to lead you to the via Costa!

From there is a smooth easy drive to the coast, Salinas, and up to the Ruta del Sol/Spondylus
