Hi, Good paying jobs are difficult to find even with the languages you speak, but it will help. Our company Coldwell Banker are looking for associates but they are very selective and receive many inquiries and of course its based on commission not salaries. Maybe worth looking at Carnival Cruises site to see if they are looking for staff as the port of Maimon is about 40 mins away from Sosua. I would come over for a holiday first to assess the market..

The most contented people I find living here are those with work they can do on the internet. Whether it be working for their former company, their own specialized business, or some income generating business that allows them to work, mornings until mid afternoon, then relax by the condo pool or beach of which there are four in Sosua, and some party at night or work on the computer. I've never looked into the options but more businesses are happy to out source the work, even making business appointments is being outsourced as they don't have local taxes to pay, or worry about severance, health and safety etc. Maybe this forum should start a site , 'Jobs in the DR/internet'

Hi there. I have been living in DR for 7 months and it is true, that you will not be able to find a good paying job. The best way is to work online. I recommend this website: upwork.com. It takes time to establish a career there, but eventually you can earn 3 times more than in this country.

Oh, and with that many languages, you can get many translation job on upwork.com. Even better for the USA citizens can be flexjobs.com. But non-americans cannot find many jobs there....

Hi You must be aware that companies have to legally employ around 75% Dominicans. There is a very small manufacturing base in this area. There is a port but I would be surprised if there is more than one container ship a day. Some ex pats work for call centers in this area that you may want to consider

Hi If you type' Call centers Puerto Plata' which is 25 mins from Sosua you will find some also with comments. I will try and find the one someone was talking about in Sosua that until a few week ago I didn't know existed.
