American Female seeking employment in Haiti

I am a female seeking employment in Haiti. I have tried looking for job postings online, but I have not been successful with that. My nationality is American and I am a college graduate; I possess a B.S. In Biology. Most of my job experience involves working in a laboratory atmosphere - environmental and oilfield (no medical laboratory experience). If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me some much needed advice concerning seeking and applying to work in Haiti, this information will be deeply appreciated. Thank you in advance!

There are some new construction jobs that are using local and environmental friendly materials. I don't know if there are companies doing environmental tests on the materials used and or the buildings themselves. Just a thought and something to look into.

Haiti is nothing like america and finding a job with abcd degree doesnt mean too much there! You going to have to go and get your feet wet in Petionville meet NGO expats and hope you connect. My fiancee is unemployed and she speaks 4 languages ,her dad is a lawyer in Haiti and she is 28 and beautiful besides being well connected and Haitian . I hope that helps you to understand the job situation there ...better have funds from usa to help you survive and here is the most amazing thing....It is more expensive than usa for many tings ..i just cringe at the prices from the poorest nation in the western hemisphere! a home costs 150 thousand us dollars a used car junky cost about 3 thousand unless you live in the barrio .......take some money to feed people and help kids get to school ,many of the babys were displaced in the terrible quake .......Haitian people are very tuff ,clever and connected as a people ....have good friends and stay out of certain areas ......the place gets a bad reputation from media .....maybe my friend Dave will pop in and make some comments to you he lived ate worked there in pap haiti for years and is a white man but a real haitian speaks fluent Creole ,french and english .......he knows waaay more about Haiti and its beauty....i love my family there and my most beautiful Haitian princess
