" Hi. I just found out that I may have to go to Qandahar in Pakistan, which I noticed is really close to Afghanistan. Can anyone tell me whether or not it''s safe to go there? Thanks! "

" Jason- I think you must be mistaken - Qandahar is actually in Afghanistan. Perhaps you mean Quetta in Pakistan? In any event, if you are going to Afghanistan, I hope you''ve a fantastic reason because it''s extremely dangerous and not worth the risk. Better to avoid it. "

" I understand from reporters and other people who have traveled in in the past year in areas of Afghanistan held by the Taleban that they are very safe for travellers. Traveling in Afghanistan is like traveling back in time. If you are young, and have some patience for other cultures, go for it. Quetta (in Pakistan) used to have a bad reputation for street crime, but I''m not up-to-date on that. "

hi everyone! I'm interested to work in Afghanistan as teacher of English as a foreign language. I'd like to know if there are opportunities for me to teach there. I'm currently connected in a credible NGO here in the Philippines. I have a degree in Speech Communication and a cetificate in TESOL-Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages. Please do help me in this matter. I really love to work in like Afghanistan. Thank you so much...
